This is completely mundane, but I remember it quite clearly. I had been working at IBM in Westford, MA for several months since graduating in 2006, on a fun team, including Marty Moore, who mentioned to me that I should meet Meggan, who worked on a different affiliated team. One day, the cafeteria was hosting some food event for Thanksgiving, and several of us went down to check it out. Marty greeted Meggan while I was busy eating a cranberry roll. I think my first conversation with Meggan was over how tough the roll was and how adding a slice of turkey in it didn't help. I'm sure she thought it was all quite goofy.
Anyways, the ice was broken and then we were able to hang out frequently as part of the greater team. Marty, Meggan and I had a lot of good times at work, which made the job much more enjoyable.
