One of the first shows we really spent a lot of quality time watching was Top Gear. Meggan and I were both really into the design and aesthetics of cars, and Top Gear was a regular source of entertainment. The 3 hosts and the exotic cars and locales made for a perfect hour of TV over delivery food. It was great to learn about cars that we'd never seen before and would never get in the US. After seeing one on the show, Meggan pined after the first BMW 1-series for a long time. I think by the next time she visited London, it was already out of her system, but man, she must have wanted to replace her Saab 9-3 (which she'd named Jaime Sommers) with a 1-series for half a year.

I went through a lot of cars over the years. It was always an adventure to announce the next car I had picked up to Meggan, and go for a ride. Some she didn't particularly like, but the ones that she was also excited about made me feel really good, some extra validation for my tastes. I'm glad that through all my car shuffling, that she got to try out a few more cars than she would have otherwise.
